Beginning Monday, October 28th, we’ll be collecting non-perishable foods for Loaves and Fishes of Contra Costa County. This organization has locations in Antioch, Martinez, Oakley, Pittsburg, and Walnut Creek, and provides meals for thousands of people daily. Since their start in 1983, they have served more than 6 million meals to individuals and families in need. As one of the main community-based food programs in the East Bay Area, they are constantly needing to replenish their pantries. Donations help keep their mission active and their kitchens in full-service. We are so happy to collaborate with Loaves and Fishes this year and help provide their patrons with full and healthy meals.
Donations of non-perishable food items will be accepted at our Pine Street Martinez branch, Muir Station Martinez branch, and Pittsburg branch through the end of December. We hope you consider donating any of the food items listed below and thank you in advance for your participation! We’re proud to support our local community but couldn’t do it without the help of you, our valued members.
